Apollo Beach Locksmith.
Car keys made where you’re parked.

Apollo Beach, North Ruskin & Big Bend Road

Need a car key in Apollo Beach — a lost key, a spare, or a fob the car won’t recognize? Zoom Locksmith is mobile, so the van meets the car: a driveway near the canals, a parking lot near Big Bend Road, a curb along US-41. For most makes and models, the new key gets cut and programmed on the spot. Lockouts, ignitions, outboard keys and home locks too — and the quote is free when you call with the VIN.

  • Mobile — we come to the car
  • Keys cut & programmed on-site
  • Insured & background-checked

Neighborhoods

From I-75 to the bay.

Apollo Beach sits on Tampa Bay, with Gibsonton to the north, Riverview to the northeast and Ruskin to the south. Here’s where we work in 33572.

  • Big Bend Road

From the I-75 interchange west toward US-41 — locked cars, lost keys and dead fobs, sorted out wherever the car is parked along it.

  • US-41

The road through the middle of Apollo Beach — new chip keys, fobs and flip keys made at the car, at home or at work.

  • North Ruskin

The northern part of Apollo Beach, around Apollo Beach Boulevard and Golf and Sea Boulevard — spares for the cars in the driveway, move-in rekeys and lockouts opened without damage.

  • The canals

Homes on the canals that lead out to Tampa Bay — salt air wears on exterior locks, and outboard keys get cut at the dock.

The work

Keys for the car, the boat and the front door.

Car keys come first for us, and since Apollo Beach’s canals run out to the bay, outboard keys and salt-worn locks are on the list here too.

01

Lost-key jobs, done beside the car

If there’s nothing to copy, we work from the car: the code is pulled using the VIN or read from a lock, a new blade is cut to it, and the chip or smart key is paired and tested on-site. Our lost car key replacement and chip key programming pages go into more detail.

02

Fobs, smart keys & spares

A fob the car stopped recognizing, a push-to-start key that went missing, a car down to its last key — each one is programmed and tested where the car sits. Start with key fob replacement or spare car keys.

03

Outboard keys at the dock

Outboard ignition keys for Yamaha, Mercury and Suzuki engines are cut on-site, and cabin and dock-box locks get serviced at the slip. Tell the dispatcher the engine brand and where the boat is tied up; more on our marine locksmith page.

04

Locks that face the water

Salt air is hard on exterior cylinders, so corroded ones get serviced or replaced. Moving in? We rekey the house to one new key and fit smart deadbolts — and a car or front door locked with the keys inside gets opened without damage.

Local highlights

Why Apollo Beach chooses Zoom.

  • The van comes to the car

There’s no counter to drive to. The key cutter, the programmer and blanks for most makes and model years travel in the van, so the key gets made where the car sits.

  • A free quote first

Read the dispatcher the VIN (the year, make and model work too) and the price is settled on the phone, before the van leaves.

  • Family-owned since 2018

Insured, background-checked techs, and a dispatcher who answers in English or Spanish.

How a car key gets priced.

Every car key is priced from the car itself. Read the VIN to the dispatcher, mention any keys or fobs you still have, and you’ll hear a free quote on that call.

That’s the price at the car. Nothing is added unless you approve new work, and an outboard key on the same trip is quoted the same way.

Who answers when you call.

From 8am to 8pm, Monday to Saturday, a dispatcher answers in English or Spanish. Say where the car is — a street address, a marina lot, a parking row — and whether any key still works.

Sundays we’re closed, and there are no night crews: if a key goes missing after 8pm, leave the car where it’s safe and call when the line opens at 8am the next working day. Should a child or pet be stuck in a hot car, the first call goes to 911 — our hot-car guide explains why.

Apollo Beach FAQ

Usually, yes. With the VIN or a decoded lock we get the key code, cut a blade to match, then set up the chip or smart key at home or wherever the car sits. A few cars are dealer-only — every 2015 and newer Mercedes-Benz, for one — and the VIN settles that on the call.

Yes — the programmer travels in the van, so on most makes the new fob is paired wherever the car sits, canal-side driveway included. If the dash says no key is detected, a fresh fob battery is worth trying first; our key-not-detected guide also shows the backup way to start the car.

Yes. Mention both when you call — the van carries the cutter and programmer for the car and outboard blanks for common engine brands, so the tech can handle the car in the driveway and the boat at the dock in one trip.

Your photo ID, plus the car’s registration or title with the same name on it. A new key opens and starts the car, so ownership is settled first. The VIN is printed on the registration and the insurance card, so those papers do double duty.
