Salt-air lock service
Exterior locks near the bay corrode faster than inland ones. We clean and lubricate cylinders that have started to stick, replace the ones too far gone, and point you to finishes that hold up better to the salt.

OpenNeighborhoods
The peninsula between Old Tampa Bay and Hillsborough Bay, from Kennedy Blvd south to the gates of MacDill Air Force Base. These are the South Tampa neighborhoods in 33606, 33609, 33611, 33616 and 33629 we work.
Homes just off Bayshore Blvd — high-security deadbolt upgrades, smart locks and rekeys once the renovation crew is gone.
The streets around Ballast Point Park at the south end of Bayshore — salt air on exterior locks, sliding doors to the water and outboard keys for small boats.
The old Port Tampa City streets on the west side of the peninsula — older homes and rentals where every tenant turnover calls for a rekey.
Townhomes, apartments and shops along Gandy Blvd — car lockouts in shopping-center lots, mailbox keys and move-in rekeys.
Larger homes near Westshore Blvd and the bay — high-security cylinders, smart-lock setups and garage entry-door locks.
Mid-century homes and the busy Bay to Bay Blvd storefronts — deadbolt swaps at home, rekeys and storefront locks for the shops.
Older homes and small businesses along Interbay Blvd and the south end of Dale Mabry — lockouts, worn-lock replacement and business rekeys.
Off-base rentals and homes near the MacDill gates, where frequent moves make a rekey on arrival the smart first step.
The work
South Tampa runs from 1920s bungalows to brand-new rebuilds, and nowhere on the peninsula is far from salt water. That shapes the lock work down here.
Exterior locks near the bay corrode faster than inland ones. We clean and lubricate cylinders that have started to stick, replace the ones too far gone, and point you to finishes that hold up better to the salt.
South Tampa has no shortage of teardowns and remodels. When the crews leave, we rekey every door so contractor keys stop working, and install high-security deadbolts or smart locks on the new doors.
With MacDill at the south end, homes and rentals change hands often. A rekey on move-in day retires every key the last occupant, landlord or property manager handed out.
Locked out at a Gandy shopping center, or lost the only key to a car parked at home? We open vehicles without damage, and cut and program transponder keys and push-to-start fobs on-site.
Local highlights
Restricted keyways, transponder blanks, smart locks — the parts most jobs need ride with us, so no second trip.
Every Zoom tech is on our payroll, background-checked, uniformed, and accountable to the same Tampa shop you call.
Quote on the phone is the quote at the curb. No surprise fees, no “trip charge” tricks at the door.
Straight answers
South Tampa jobs are quoted flat on the phone, the same way we price everywhere else — tell us the problem, get the number, and that’s what you pay when the work is done. Traffic on Dale Mabry or Gandy doesn’t change the price.
For high-security or specialty locks, the dispatcher tells you up front what’s involved, so there’s no surprise at the door.
A live dispatcher answers during open hours and gives you an ETA based on where our trucks actually are — whether you’re in Port Tampa, off Bayshore or near Westshore.
We don’t send crews overnight or on Sundays. If a lock fails in the evening after we close, call at 8am the next open day and the dispatcher will get you on the schedule.

Yes. Book the rekey for move-in day and we’ll switch every exterior door to one new key, reusing your existing locks, so nobody from the last lease still has a way in.
Often, yes. Humidity and salt air near the bay dry out and corrode cylinders. Sometimes a cleaning and lubrication brings it back; if the cylinder is too far gone, we replace it and can key it to match your existing keys.
Yes. We install high-security deadbolts on restricted keys, such as Medeco and Mul-T-Lock, so copies can’t be made at a hardware store. Smart locks from August, Schlage Encode, Yale and Kwikset are available too.
