What a car key costs depends on the car.
The year, make and model decide most of it. The kind of key matters too — a basic chip key, a flip key with buttons and a smart key for a push-button car each take different parts and programming — and with no working key left, the code must be read first. Share the VIN with the dispatcher and you’ll have a free quote before you hang up.
The figure you agree to on the phone is what you pay. If something else turns up at the car, it gets priced and you say yes or no before any work starts.
Who picks up, and when.
The line, 305-528-1358, is staffed Monday to Saturday, opening at 8am and closing at 8pm, by a dispatcher who speaks English and Spanish. Tell them where the car or the door is, what needs doing and how many keys still work. A photo ID that matches the registration or title is checked before any car key is cut.
We’re closed Sundays and don’t take overnight jobs; if a key goes missing late, leave the car somewhere safe and call when the line opens in the morning. If a person or a pet is trapped in a car, 911 is the first call.
